Our Story
Zaidee’s Bar & Grill carries the spirit of Ojai right in its name, honoring Zaidee Soule and her sister Nina, whose family roots run deep in this valley. In 1959, they donated the land that would become Soule Park Golf Course—a gift not just of acreage, but of opportunity and community. Long before fairways traced the landscape, this was ranch land, orchard land, gathering land. The kind of place where neighbors knew one another and meals were shared under open skies, with the Topatopa Mountains standing watch in the distance.
That spirit guides us still. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner—nothing rushed, nothing fussy—just good food meant to be enjoyed at a human pace, with mountain views that invite you to stay a little longer. Whether you’re easing into the morning before a round, stretching a lunch into the afternoon, or settling in for dinner as the valley softens into dusk, Zaidee’s is a continuation of that original welcome: a place where the table brings people together, and where Ojai feels, unmistakably, like home.
